Stacy Bragger was born in 1984 and was educated in the Islands before studying at Peter Symonds College and the Surrey Institute of Art and Design. After returning to the Islands, Stacy worked as Deputy News Editor and then News Editor for Falklands Radio for ten years reporting on all aspects of Falklands’ life. The series was broadcast on both Falklands Radio and the BBC. Stacy then took on the role in 2014 of Executive Secretary for the Falkland Islands Chamber of Commerce where he gained great insight into the Falklands’ economy and private sector.

Stacy has represented the Falkland Islands at the 2012 Commonwealth Youth Parliament and as Special Advisor on a tour of South and Central America shortly after the 2013 Referendum on the Islands’ political status.

Stacy has held a number of voluntary community roles including Chairman of the Media Trust and Secretary of the Falkland Islands Overseas Games Association. In 2015 he was the General Team Manager for the Falkland Islands at the Island Games in Jersey.

Stacy’s main passion in life is music and he hosts a weekly indie/alternative music show on Falklands Radio. Stacy is a keen sports fan and follows Liverpool FC. He has a young son called James.

In November 2017 Stacy stood for election for the first time and was elected as one of the Stanley representatives.
