This guidance is to assist faith groups following 11 May changes allowing greater social interaction. Faith-based communities can now begin to consider ways in which they can safely recommence formal gatherings supporting the well-being of their communities. Guidance will be updated should the COVID-19 situation change. Amended 24 June 2020 to reflect new guidance around singing in buildings.
05 May 2020 - Socially Connected Physically Protected Guidance
As part of the moves announced on Friday, we are introducing new guidance that will allow some easing of restrictions around social and physical activities. The Government is adapting a concept that has been used successfully in New Zealand called Bubbles.
Amended 25 June to reflect easing in restrictions around vulnerable groups.
04 May 2020 - Guidance On The Infectious Diseases Control (Coronavirus) (No.2) Regulations 2020
The Infectious Diseases Control (Coronavirus) (No.2) Regulations 2020 were gazetted on April 30. If activated by declaration, the Regulations would give legal effect to restrictions and requirements on businesses, premises, movement and gatherings. The relevant restrictions and requirements could then be legally enforced.
