Established in 1983, the Falkland Islands Government Office (FIGO) has been situated in its current location since 1989 and has a staff of six.

Prominent among FIGO’s objectives is raising awareness of the Islands, representing the views and interests of the Falkland Islands Government and people, targeting government, members of      Parliament, media and the general public in the UK.

In addition, the Office works to promote inward and outward trade, liaises with UK based groups interested in the Islands, and provides a secretariat for visiting Legislative Assembly Members and Falkland Islands Government officials, as well as providing a number of support services, which include:

Completion of recruitment requirements as directed

Provision of a civilian passage booking service for MOD flight bookings

Assisting and supporting medical patients from the Islands
