Background & Qualifications

I have a bachelor degree in Natural resources management from the Polytechnic of Namibia and a Masters degree in Environment Management, specialized in Biodiversity Conservation from the University of the Free State (South Africa). Before joining the Namibian Ministry of Fisheries and Marine Resources, I worked for several ecological research projects in Namibia. In 2010 I joined the Namibian Research Institute where I gained experience in fisheries research, data management and analysis for resources management recommendations, human impacts on marine ecosystems etc. I started my job as a Fisheries observer in the Falkland Islands in January 2019.

Research Interests

To monitor and analyse human impacts on marine biodiversity and identify suitable mitigation measures.
