Department of Health & Social Services - Practice Nurse Assistant

Closing Date: 21 May 2021

Candidates will be expected to work within the Primary Care Team supporting administrative, clerical and designated clinical work. Candidates must be able to demonstrate a good level of numeracy, literacy and IT skills. Grade C or equivalent in English and Maths is essential, as is at least 1 years’ relevant work experience.

Department of Health & Social Services - Staff Nurse

The Health and Social Services Department have an opportunity available for a registered nurse to work within the nursing team including Community Services, to provide quality nursing to patients by promoting health and developing areas of nursing expertise.  The successful applicant must have 1-2 years’ recent relevant health service experience and be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council in the UK.

Department of Health & Social Services - Nursing Sister/Midwife

As a dual qualified and registered nurse and midwife provide quality care to patients, acting in their interests promoting health and contributing to the multi-disciplinary team and including midwifery to women in the Falkland Islands in the ante, intra, and post partum period.  Essential criteria includes a degree or equivalent enabling current dual registration with NMC as a registered midwife and nurse, 7 years post registration experience, at least 2 years as a registered nurse and 5 years as a midwife.

Public Works Department - Assistant Roads Engineer

To assist the Roads Engineer in the delivery of the agreed Highways works programme in a safe and efficient manner, which includes the development and implementation of capital and operating budgets, monitoring the Departments assets. Essential criteria includes a BsC/BEng qualification and a minimum of 6 years civil engineering experience.

Public Works Department - Clerk

Public Works Department - Administrative Officer

To provide administrative support to the Director of Public Works to ensure the efficient running of the office including minute taking. To oversee all the administrative and accounting functions ensuring the efficient processing and monitoring of all financial data, in accordance with FIG Financial Instructions and auditing requirements. Customs and Immigration - Customs Officer

To provide supervisory, managerial and operational support to the Collector of Customs. Applicants must have a good standard of education equivalent to A Level in English as well as a supervisory or managerial qualification equivalent to a NVQ4 and have a minimum of five years’ experience within a customs/immigration/border force environment or other relevant enforcement organisation.

Treasury Department - Head of Tax

The Head of Tax will be responsible for the Taxes Legislation of the Falkland Islands and South Georgia & South Sandwich Islands and the successful operation of those systems. Applicants must hold a degree in a relevant subject and Chartered status in a relevant field.  A minimum of 10 years’ working within a tax environment is also an essential requirement of the post.
