Education Department - Finance Clerk

To provide efficient and accurate financial forecasting, analysis and monitoring support to the Director of Education and the Service Heads, and contribute to maintaining an efficient and customer friendly Education Department office for all staff, students and the general public.  Applicants should have should have at least 3 - 5 years financial/administrative/clerical experience and be educated to A level standard or beyond.  The successful applicant would also be expected to administer the Community Development Scheme.

Education Department - Quality and Performance Co-ordinator

Applications are invited to fill a vacancy for Quality Assurance Co-ordinator to provide standardized quality support functions across the education directorate working closely with the Executive Headteacher and Director. Essential criteria include Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject such as in Business Administration or Customer Care, at least 5 years’ relevant work experience and at least 2 years’ experience working in a ‘Quality Assurance’ based role and demonstrative experience of delivering quality improvement initiatives.

Treasury Department - Senior Accountant

Reporting to and working with the Head of Finance to lead and develop the accounting team within the Government’s finance function which encompasses the full breadth of core finance functions such as pensions, accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial planning, budget management, financial forecasting and investment and decision support.  The post-holder will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with all statutory and governance requirements and be accountable for the production of the annual financial accounts, as well as driving through the annual budget process.  As a senior manager within FIG, the post holder will work alongside Heads of Services across Government to influence effective decision making and ensure high standards of financial control exist throughout the organisation.  Applicants must be a CCAB qualified accountant, have a degree and or professional qualification relevant to the post and/or equivalent learning through professional experience, with at least 5 years’ post qualification experience in a related area at a senior level and in particular of leading a team of professional finance personnel.

Applicants must have a Level 3 IoSCM Warehousing & Operations or be able to demonstrate equivalent experience of working in a role at a similar level, a valid driving licence including C1, and at least 5 years’ relevant work experience.

Royal Falkland Islands Police - Station Enquiry Officer

To provide a front of house service assisting members of the public with their enquiries and delivering the control room functions to enable police officers to remain on operational duties. Applicants will also include acting as Custody Officer, candidates must be aged 18 years or over. Applicants should have a Grade C or above in GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent), RSA 1 or above in Word/Text Processing or Typewriting and a full driver’s licence.

Health & Social Services Department - Theatre Practitioner
